Sci-Fried was formed in early 2007 by Chuck Silver and Jim Frederick out of a love for Science Fiction and Rock music, bringing life to the new and exciting concept of "geek rock". Joined by the Chuckcon crew, we began writing parodies of popular songs with the flavor of our favorite movies and TV shows. Dr. Vern and Mike Jensen (KSV) soon added their vocal abilities. With Sunni Simmons on Bass we bringing the true vision of Sci-Fried to life. The parodies led to original music of the same "geek rock" flavor. The evolution of Sci-Fried into its present day Force was complete.
Word spread about what we were doing and people wanted to hear more. We made a demo CD for free distribution around conventions and music venues and soon found it difficult to keep up with the demand for more. Not long after, we found ourselves in studio working on two separate projects: Our All-Parody album "Ramming Speed" and our All-Original album "Geeks Unite". Coming with the release of these CDs was the launch of TOUR 2010: The Year We Make Con-Tact, where we perform live at multiple conventions in 2010, bringing our music to the people for whom it is intended; fans of Sci-fi / Fantasy / Horror / Rock.
Sci-Fried does not see Harry Potter fans or Star Wars guy, comic book geeks or Star Trek nerds. We see Geek Nation; an enormous group of multi-talented fans that account for box-office billions and shape the landscape of television, film and the internet. We see people who share our love and passion. We are them and we are ALL Sci-Fried!

The Madman of the Band, Dr. Vern employs a combination of girth, range and theatrics. He always wants the room to rock and will stop at nothing to accomplish that mission.

KSV's rapid-fire delivery and ingenuity add the perfect spice to Sci-Fried. His vast knowledge of all things "geek" is evident in his lyrics, bringing authority to the creativity of Sci-Fried vocals.

Chuck is not only the founder, but the heart and soul of Sci-Fried. His unique guitar sounds and solos make voyages through the Sci-Fi landscape possible. He has influences all along the rock music spectrum as can be seen when he manipulates the strings with precision and passion.

As a graduate of the Atlanta Institute of Music, Sunni brings technical excellence to the band. His experience with metal bands adds a driving power to Sci-Fried as he explores a new direction in music.

Jim is the musical Quarterback of the band. He handles the task of keeping all the styles the band employs with the precision of quartz. His music experience and writing talent, combined with sticks of steel, make him the driving force of Sci-Fried.
